Capitol Hill: Shopper Code of Conduct

Agriculture is the most essential act, and the farmers markets serve as the essential link between farmers and eaters. Going forward, we need you to help protect public health and our community by following new guidelines.

Shoppers, you have the important duty of displaying excellent behavior in and around the markets. All of us here at Neighborhood Farmers Markets, including our vendors, will be responsible for implementing the agreed-upon plans to keep everyone safe while we help feed our city.

Farmers Market Rules:

  • Seniors, People experiencing mobility difficulties, people requiring ADA accessibility, and pregnant people, please bypass the line, we are happy to let you in ASAP!

  • Stay home if you are (or think you are) sick. Stay home if you have (or think you have) been in contact with someone who is sick.

  • Designate one shopper per family.

  • Look down and around for sidewalk markings when standing in lines and moving through the market.

  • Vendors have the option of allowing customers to pick their own produce or product, or selecting it for you - please observe the signs at each individual vendors booth.
